GRLC Action (2/20-2/26) Discuss Games/Report Scores

Postby culax on Sat Feb 23, 2008 7:48 pm

Game 1
Creighton 14
DePaul 10

Game 2
Creighton 12
Iowa 13 (2OT)

Thanks to Iowa for hosting. Playing 2 games back to back with our limited roster was too much. Creighton was down 5 goals in the 4th quarter against Iowa and tied it up to send the game into overtime.

Will, you wouldn't happen to know the score of the Iowa-DePaul game?

Iowa defeated Depaul 6-5 or 6-4, I am not positive. DePaul was leading 4-1 at halftime.

congrats to CU on another W in this young season. They definitely seem to be a force to be reckoned with this year.

From Searcy:
HU 14
SLU 11

Harding led the entire game, but played very sloppy offense. SLU went down 5-0 in the first quarter because of a 3 minute stick violation. Their attack played a great game, scoring a majority of the goals from behind the net. In the end, Harding was able to control the ball to run out the clock.

I had a first quarter score of 6-0. A very minor change. Harding scored 4 on that stick penalty and scored a lot of EMO goals during SLU's 18 minutes of penalty throughtout the game.

The game was to be played in an indoor facility but Indiana's athletic department pulled the facility. To be honest the temp was in the 40 degree range and sunny. If the field had been cleared properly (instead of just the lines) the game conditions would have been great.
