Whitman 20 CofI 12, don't quote me on that cause I took a nasty hit with my head down on the X and might have a concussion.

Good showing for us since we were missing our Goalie and main D-pole.

Anybody else got a goalie joke?

It looks like we all had a lot of fun together.

I can never spend too much time with Ryan and Wish at a Husky game. Thanks Shawn. . .

Very impressive win for CWU. This certainly shakes things up pretty early in the DII. Congrats to JC and his team.

We all thought the DII would be pretty wide open with the departure of Montana. . .but this is crazy already. . .

Is WWU the only ranked DII team that has no OOC games? I know PLU, SOU and WOU have them. . .with all of this parity, I hope we see two teams from our league in Texas in May. . .

From Ashland, OR
UNR- 10
SOU- 8

We had to play this game without our defensive captain Dan Snell, and only 3 subs, due to an injury suffered earlier in the week. We showed glimpses of what we are capable of but were unable to put together a complete 60 min. game.
UNR is much improved, even since we played them in the fall. They are very patient and methodical on the offensive end.
This game was a great learning experience for our starting freshman midfield line. If they all stay at SOU for 4 years they will be extremely dangerous. Also a good learning experience for our D playing w/o Snell.
Also, I want to say that the officials did a great job for both games this w/e. There were many big, clean hits w/ no flags thrown which was nice to see (even if some of our players and fans disagree).

Hoss is still around he just had a family vacation planned before the season that he couldn't get out of. Needless to say his new nickname on the team is Princess.

Stanford beat OSU, I think the score was 11-7. The Beavers were down one heading into the 4th, if the reports I heard were accurate. We were playing the Trojans on a different field at the same time so I couldn't watch the game. But I watched the Cardinal beat USC yesterday, they were very impressive.

The PNCLL finishes 2-3 against the WCLL down at the Pac-10 Shootout. Not as good as Oregon State and Washington would have liked, but better than most of you were predicting.

After playing Central Washington on Saturday, Willamette decided they did not want to go to Bellingham to play Western Washington. Instead, while traveling through Seattle, the players found 15 homeless vagrants to play for them. Each player gave 14 homeless men and one tough homeless woman their gear and jerseys and sent them to represent the team. As payment we also gave each homeless person a cardboard box to provide housing and shelter for the next several months. The homeless played hard and displayed decent stick skills for having never played the game before. However, Western Washington would not be denied their 25 goal win, for it would give them ultra-power-boost for the rest of the season, and they pressed hard throughout to attain sweet victory. After the game, we fed the homeless a nice warm meal and thanked them for their services and sent them on their way, one cardboard box richer and a lifetime of memories happier.

Who writes that up for a game report? Were there really bums playing lacrosse, I would have loved to see that. They would have been asking for change while getting scored on.... wow. I love the professional write up.
