Game ended early due to an injury. Not sure on the exact person, but believe it was #8 on St. Johns. We wish him a fast recovery back to 100%. No one likes to see an injured player on either side. Our thoughts and prayers are with him. Good game St. Johns and keep us informed on his status.

The injured player was senior Ben Ivory (ATT). He suffered a concussion and a hip flexor injury, due to how he fell after getting knocked out. But they didn't say anything about a possible knee injury, which surprises me seeing how he landed. Hopefully he is going to be ok, he's a big part of the team.

Thank God he's okay. You know what ole Brando would say...

Some impressive scores from St. Olaf, might they be #2 this year? Should be a good game against the Gophers.

That was the widest range of scores and victories I have ever seen. Its good to see some of the smaller schools beating teams they usually have not done well against. Hopefully their teams will start to come back after being quiet for a while. Its also strange to see teams like Kato and Marquette struggling so badly?

Word through the grape vine is there was a fight/maylay/scuffel that broke out at the end of the game, i can not confirm this as i was not in attendance but thats what i heard. Hopefully it did not take away from the game.

I was running the clock for the Carleton/Moorhead game. The altercation took place in front of the Carleton bench at the end of the game. It actually ended up in the Carleton bench area. It was a mess. There were ejections and likely suspensions. I will remind everyone that there is never a reason to fight in a game. Also please remember that anyone leaving the bench during a fight or coming in after the fight has begun will be ejected immediately. The officials want to isolate the fight. Do not try to help the officials break up the fight.

Ridiculous Fight

Postby msumcoach on Tue Apr 17, 2007 9:23 am

The altercation started by a Carleton player grabbing our player and supplexing him to the ground. From there several players off Carletons bench and there coach entered the altercation. As well did one of moorheads players and a coach. It was ridiculous because there were no punches thrown there were shoves and words exchanged I am kind of baffled that there was such a big deal made of the activity and the game was called there was one player that should be ejected.

Anyone that leaves the bench should be ejected. It's pretty simple.
