Just wanted to set the record straight that we have never used illegal players in our program and will never do so!! The only team known for doing so was Northwestern, whom knocked Harding out of the playoffs, and they aren't in the USLIA anymore.

However, I do agree that there is a fun rivalry existing there, as both programs started the same year and the majority of games (including this past fall) have been clase, intense games.

That game in the playoffs predates you Tony (danza), that was a long time ago and doesn't need to be brought up again or rehashed.

The games with SMS all started once upon a time in a distant room at Mizzou. SMS came to Harding and beat us on our practice field (anyone remember the tree in the corner?) in front of our own home stands. We went there that spring and got our butts handed to us and went home with our tails between our legs. And that was the begining of the Harding v SMS(MSU) "rivalry".

Sorry to hijack this thread, but the screen name dictates a response. I met Corbin a hundred years ago at Mizzou and we got into a fist fight. He lit my car on fire and then I sent threatening letters to his mother. Ever since, Harding and SMS/MSU/Harvard of the Ozarks has been intense and fun games. A perennial event both squads can count on. Corbin, shouldn't you have a something better to do, old man.
