What kind of turf is that? The "real grass" type with those little black rubber pellets? If so, that is quite impressive. Do you know which games are being played in the stadium this weekend? Just curious how that will change the diffenent teams gameplan. Thanks

In terms of changes and adjustments, the goalies will face true bounces rather than on bumpy intramural grass fields. I'm sure they won't mind.
More importantly, the play will be faster. Some defensives might have to switch to a zone if they can't keep up. Hopefully the coaches have implemented a zone defense this early in the season.
That looks like astroturf rather than the next turf, or as I like to call it, gurf.

field
My favorite comment heard when I coached at Tech.
Visting player, "where did y'all get all the straw to put on the field?"
My reply, "umm, that's the grass."
I also loved that we had to line the brown field with blue paint.
Classic.
Go Raiders.

I don't think that CSU will have any problem w/ 4 games in 3 days...Remember, they do play in the upper atmosphere of Colorado where oxygen is at a premium. Not to mention the fact that they travel with a whole army of players that could maybe start on most any team in the USLIA.

last time i stepped foot on that UTA turf, it was pretty hard and hadnt been used in a few years so it was dried out also.
are they gonna charge admission for the games at the stadium? or any of the games, for that matter.
Dust, ill be there for the CSU game on Sat. night. you coming out?

They just replaced the turf a couple of years back and it sees regular use from high school football and soccer games. Admission is $5 for one day or $10 for the entire weekend.

A&M has a really nice new soccer stadium, Ive always thought it would be a great venue for lacrosse assuming its dimesnions are big enough. Im sure they wouldnt want lacrosse using it but it would be great to host a big matchup game there like the Texas game at the end of the season
