According to WCLL forum, Chico State defeated Texas, 9-8. From what I got from a text message tonight, Chico scored the winning goal with 5:3 seconds left.

Following much brainstorming and discussion, Minnesota decided mid-afternoon today to make the trip up to Dallas for a 7:30 game on SMU's intramural field. They got here in plenty of time, and we were able to get everything arranged accordingly.

The game ended in SMU's favor at 14-8. Minnesota is an extremely talented team and fought hard from beginning to end. Their entire group (coaches and players) are a great bunch of guys and were happy to finally play a game in Texas.

After the game, they stumbled into a connection with the athletic department who let them shower in Moody Coliseum before they hit the road to Austin. Their new itinerary includes playing the Aggies tomorrow in College Station before concluding the trip with their originally scheduled game against Texas on Friday night.

If anyone happens to run into their team over the next two days, be sure to welcome them to Texas and offer your hospitality (restaurant/sight-seeing recommendations). Let's not let a little rain ruin their trip to the Lone Star State.

Thanks for the hospitality to all the Texas folk. SMU, A&M, and UT were all gracious hosts. Thanks especially for the showers, though I wish more guys would have taken advantage of the opportunity.

5 days in a bus gets to be pretty rank.
