We're getting pounded with another big snow storm right now. They just canceled school for the day and it doesn't look like it will be letting up any time soon. We are running out of places to put this stuff!

Hope the Vandals and Cougars have a healthy supply of orange game balls for next weekend's games...

We're going to need more than colorful balls. The Palouse is a mess right now.

Well if the snow keeps up and all the players wear shorts we'll have lots of blue balls too next weekend.

They just canceled school for tomorrow already.

Maybe we could play kickball?

Four fifteen minute quarters, the team which build the best snowman on their end of the field -- as judged by the refs -- gets a conference win. Recorded as 1-0, in-home gets credit for the goal.

You don't want to have a snowman build off. I just built a mean igloo today. If I have time for that I can produce a good looking snowman. Hey maybe I'll even add some blue balls...for eyes of coarse.

Snoqualmie Pass remains shut down:

At this rate nobody will even be able to get to the Palouse anyway. :(

Dooooooood I do trust you. Having seen your ugly mug in person, Tim, I'm quite confident that this condition is something you know alot about, perhaps everytime you have ever managed to even find a woman to agree to a date with you in the first place. You could even be one of the world's leading experts, for all I know...

I might have to rethink my "Do you know Dan Wishengrad? Because I do" pickup line.

chat sauvage wrote:And yes, for those interested, this happened last year and accordingly a request was made to the league in the fall to delay our home games to the end of February or March...

We now have 8 teams in our league that are located East of the Cascade mountain range. If we waited to schedule every game on the East side until March we would never get our season's games played.

And no, there was no formal request made by CWU for "no home games until March." There were some requests made at the fall meeting, and all of those requests were met. You need to get your facts straight. The is no anti-Wildcat conspiracy.

This weather is a nightmare for everyone. It's unfortunate that your school is less accomodating than some of the others. For years and years in this league teams have played games at neutral sites. I am sorry that this crazy weather is costing you guys a home game, but you are not alone.

Idaho and Washington State are both giving up a home game in order to accomodate these unfortunate weather problems.

We live in the Northwest, and we have 19 teams in our league. With every team playing every other team in the league this year, we are forced to schedule East side games almost every weekend of the year due to the lack of trained officials on your side of the mountains.

Sorry to get off on a rant, but I don't like misinformation being spread on these forums.
