All Conference Div A and Div B

sorry I don't have the face-off stats for how Groom did against all of the other teams in the UMLL, I just states my opinion on how they did against myself. Groom was a very good face-off middie I don't want to take anything away from him but when I made that top three I also took into consideration the help he has with his LSM's and other wing middies. You can go ahead and make you opinion public and make your top 3 if you would like.

I mean no disrespect to any one, especially St. Olaf, but the truth of the matter is that many of the UMD and UM starters only play 30mins of every game and have to prove what they can do in that limited time frame. Where as St. Olaf guys play 60 minutes and can put up a ton of points. Points in our conference do not tell anyone anything, because many of our best players in the conference are sitting down at half time because the game is in hand.

First off...

Olaf does not have enough players to have people sit out the second half. We had 3 attack, and 8 mid.

Second, Neither the U of M or UMD played 7 games in 10 days (again, the attack had to play every second of every game). Ask the U how Olson did against them in the playoff game... 10 pts.

How did Olsen do against UMD....oh yeah 0 POINTS....and are starters were on the bench because it was 15-0 @ half.....Playing 7 games in 10 days is not an argument because you could have scheduled differently and that is on your leadership team and coaches......I think if UMD didn't have the bench no one would be having this argument because it would be blantly obvious.....

You obviously should know the whole side of the story before you make claims like the ones you made. Don't talk about the coaches and leadership on a team you know nothing about. Why don't you ask your coach how he feel about all you nominations... all UMD and U of M players. And just because somebody got 0 points in one game could mean he never got the the ball becuase we could not get it in his hands. But oh yea, you play for Duluth so you must know all about lacrosse and what makes a good player.

Listen I didn't try and start a fight but if you want to hide behind your rose colored glasses thats fine with me.

You wrote:

And just because somebody got 0 points in one game could mean he never got the the ball because we could not get it in his hands

And why do you think that might be??? Maybe Duluth dominated all aspects of the game???

I didn't mean my remarks about your leadership or coaches to be negative, but doesn't your team and your coaches determine your schedule? You know, dates which you can play and then coordinate it with the league. So playing 7 games in 10 days was the teams choice.

Yeah I go to duluth but that doesn't mean anything, I'm just voicing me opinion just like you. I encourage disagreement because that is what a message board is for. So if you have a problem with my statement don't attack me personally or my school.

Before you say no personal attacks, I suggest you look at your other posts... "oh yea, 0 points". Sounds a little condesending to me... and no... look at our schools vacations and midterms schedules before you say we can reschedule our games with the league.

Sorry this arguement had to go public. I just really feel that our team really proved something to the league this year... any team can be very good any given year. We had a great year this year... ANYBODY could have an outstanding season next year.

Anklebreaker's comments and tone seem to REALLY belittle the accomplishments of other teams and players. I hope this sentiment is not felt by the rest of your team... as I know it is not.

I not trying to belittle you guys, you had a great season and took major strides for your program. I just think that UMD and the UM players deserve their credit for their accomplishments on the field. I didn't say that the STO or other teams guys don’t deserve 2nd team or that they weren't good players and just think that putting them on first team compared to guys on UMD who play half the time, still put up the points and a give nothing to their opponents deserve 1st Team AC.

That wasn't personal comment, it was the truth. Fishman you made this public by freaking out over my AC picks. This is a public forum! And its my opinion! Has nothing to do with what the league thinks.

UMD and every other team in the country have to deal with midterms, so that’s a cop out. School Vacation??? Um, doesn't that mean you have school off and you can play lacrosse. Last time I checked the domes in Minnesota didn't deflate and are available during the early months when we cant be outside.

As I said above I have nothing but respect for STO and the rest of the teams in our conference. I hope that every team progresses the way STO did this year because it will make the UMLL a better conference.

Actrually you made it public "anklebreaker" by freaking out about my AC nomination. Starting by stating stats that probably aren't true, and then you continued to belittled other teams in the conference. I was actrually wondering if you "anklebreaker" could tell me who your other faceoff man was. I could not think of what his name was or his number. But in my opinion he seemed to do better in the game we played against UMD. The weather was sloppy, making face-offs, mostly scooping ground balls pretty ridiculous. But in that weather I think he stood out more to me then Groom. If I'm not mistaken I believe when we played we won 55% of the face-offs. I think we won alot early but after half time Groom and the other guy stepped it up. but you are right "anklebreaker" 45% is pretty close to 90%.

Again this is all just my opinion. ST. Olaf you guys played your ass off this year and really had our number. I have no idea who it was but one of your defensemen taught me a lesson or three during play-offs when he knocked me out. Probably one of the harder hits I have had in all my days in sports. And from what I remember it was completely legal(I think we might even have it on tape if who ever hit me wants it). But for the record I came back in and played about a minute later, probably a horrible decision.

PS I don't want to take anything away from UMD because you guys are an amazing team. Everyone on the team always plays hard and I never see you let down at all. Keep up the good work guys you are representing the UMLL 24-7 by being national ranked. And with all of your national victories you bring attention to the UMLL. Keep up the good work guys, good luck in Texas, we will be rooting you guys on.
