No cookie for me. . .only the Western Washington vs. UPS score. . .

WWU 12
UPS 9

More details to follow, but if Western can navigate their game vs. CWU, they will lock up the #2 seed and a guaranteed bye into final four. Nice win for the Vikings.

In the Who Cares Bowl 2007, sponsored by Irrelevancy:

Lewis and Clark 8
Willamette 7

Fun yet extremely frustrating game for us, factors that were uncontrollable by the two teams on the field determined this game, that's all I can say without my post getting deleted.

#19 Western Oregon 15
#20 Pacific Lutheran 6

If WOU can knock off Montana, they are still alive in the hunt for the top seed and bye in the South division. . .

Here is the early playoff picture:

North.......................games remaining
WWU (6-1)........................CWU
PLU (5-2)..........................Lewis & Clark
Whitman (3-3)...................SOU, Alb.
CWU (3-3).........................WWU, Willamette

South
Montana (6-0)....................Albertson, WOU
WOU (5-1).........................UPS, Montana
SOU (4-2)..........................Whitman, Albertson
Albertson (3-2)..................Whit, Mont, SOU

Montana, WWU, PLU and WOU are pretty much in. . .SOU is in with one more win. . .

Which leaves one spot for either Whitman, Albertson or Central. 4-4 could get in. . .and looking at the schedules lined up for these teams, 4-4 is probably going to get the 6th seed.

It's going to be exciting over the next 10 days. . .

not sure on the quarter, but i got it is 11-2 in favor of Oregon, in the Oregon vs Utah game. It was 10-0 at one point and I guess Oregon's Brett Retalick hurt is knee pretty bad and they don't know the extent of the injury right now.

Whitman 8
Southern Oregon 5

Now Southern only has 13 or 14 guys, and I think the playoff picture has changed a little bit. Albertsons' plays both Whitman and Southern Oregon next weekend, when we'll be filling in the last few spots for playoffs....Are we still on the outside looking in, Dan?

(Montana appears to be in control of their game against Albertson's right now.)

Wow that could be critical in determining playoff spots! Suddenly Albertson's games with Southern and Whitman are HUUUGE. If Albertson beats SOU then we could have three teams come in at 4-4 with SOU, ACI, and CWU(assuming the "favorites" win in the other games, but I guess we don't really have "favorites" do we?), and only ONE of those would make the playoffs. This could be a really interesting race for the postseason after I for one thought it would be determined fairly early on. Good luck to all!

5-3 should get you in...

WWU in
PLU in
Montana in
WOU in (6-1 right now, just handled us 10-4 sounds right. I'm trying to repress the memory)

Outside looking in...

Whitman 4-3 (Albertson)
Central 3-3 (Willamette & WWU left)
Albertson 3-2 (SOU, Montana, & Whitman left)
SOU 4-3 (Albertson)

CWU needs to win out & they need some help. They've lost the tie breaker to Whitman if both teams end up 5-3.

When we get some other scores, we'll do our best to spell it out for all you guys.

Tiebreakers will come into effect here...
