Nebraska vs. Missouri State game scheduled for tomorrow has been forfeited by Nebraska. They weren't able to get enough players to commit to the travel.

Its quite disturbing to see a game that COULD have playoff implications for us forfeited. What might this situation do to Nebraska's future?

Sonny,
Maybe I'm a little slow in comprehension but according to the NCAA rule book, are you saying that this game should be called a "no contest" even though Nebraska has already said they are taking a loss for the game?

There is no lose to be taken and a "no contest" is to be recorded "unless the referee or other appropriate contest official has assumed jurisdiction of the contest (see 2-7)."

Did a referee declare a forfeit? Or the league commisioner?

The Illinois Wash U game was a great game to watch. In the first half with the score tied 2-2, Illinois went on a 3 goal run in what seemed like less than a minute. Wash U then scored the next 3 goals, and it was back and forth the rest of the way with each team holding leads in the 4th. The game was tied late and Illinois scored on a drive from X and feed to the front of crease with about 20 seconds left. It was a well played game all around with both goalies playing very well.

League commissioner

It is my understanding that the league Commissioner has made the decision to award the forfeit to MSU.

From Macomb, IL

South Dakota 4
Cornell 3

5 minutes before our game with Western, we were informed that we had to play against Cornell
10 minute run quarters. each team only had 5 subs. really relaxed game. South Dakota playing their 2nd game of the day and Cornell playing their 3rd
Both teams were pretty tired. Thanks to Cornell for a good quick game
