Discuss/Report Scores for Wed, 2/9/05 - Tues, 2/15

I wouldn't be concerned about the conditioning of CSU...even if they are a little slower than usual they will be still be faster and better conditioned than most teams out there.

I'm really interested in seeing how they do without Plonkey...he really set the tone for that team.

I think they will do just fine without Plonkey. As great a player as he was, many times the tone he set for that team was not a positive one. I actually expect that CSU will have a much better chance of playing a team game now that some of the old guard is gone, which makes that team even more scary.

I am swallowing my words. Plonkey is the man.

Yes. Plonkey finished as the highest scoring defenseman in school history by about 20 points. If you want to ask someone about his offensive ability, you can ask TAMU. Two plays last year, he simply set up a dodge, took his man to the rack and scored. Adam is good, but I'm guessing you haven't seen CSU play because there is no long pole in MDIA history with as good a stick as Plonkey had, maybe excepting Dallas Hartley at the height of his prowess.

It's hard to believe that there is someone on the CSU team or in MDIA currently that could replace Plonkey. Two goals at the TAMU game last year...that's simply embarrassing. I expect the game between the boxes to be a little different than last year.

Anyone going to be updating games at Arlington? If so, great. I thought that Brent was going to get some phone calls at the end of games.

I wonder when the discussion of the 19 goal rule will start?
