I play on a men's club team and on Sunday there were a couple of things I will note from our games against GVSU for those of you interested.
My club team's goalie is a freshman at Aquinas College and he said there was a meeting to be held Sunday night. Apparently there are a couple of Flint Powers players there that are interested in starting a team. All I know is, if they do start up, they'll have a great little goalie and I'll miss having him on my team. In case you've never heard of it, Aquinas is a Catholic NAIA school on the north border of East Grand Rapids.
The other item might not be of much surprise, but I thought Grand Valley was much improved, not that they were bad last year. The addition of the EGR/CSU guys gives them some nice flare on top of their regular physical style.

Grand Valley State
I thought Grand Valley State was a pretty good team. Whoever covered me did the best job of any defensemen that covered me all year. He was pretty athletic and strong. Though I had emptied my tank against Calvin the night before he still was better then anyone else I saw. Though I always got the second pole while Evan got the first. It should be an interesting year. We return most of our starters and have some new talented players. We'll see ya in the spring.

Great to hear about GVSU. They seemed to have a good team last year. Just couldn't put it all together with injuries, ect.......
Will be an interesting year on the B side. 2 strong conferences, good teams from last year brought in a lot of new players. Also, second year teams (IUP and Grove had very good teams last season) typically improve over their first season. Some new additions to the league. Tough to predict, but hopefully the B teams don't beat each other up and hurt rankings, ect......................
