Interesting in division 2
Gotta give it up to Bethel and Carleton for their wins over UWEC this weekend. I just find it interesting because people were assuming that both would lose and end up in 5th and 6th. Just shows how anything goes in this league sometimes. The future of this league is looking great.

GVSU got to watch some of the Carleton SJU game and they definitely had some guys out there that looked like they could play.

I wasn't at the game but heard SJU had their starters in the whole game. Apparently NDSU gave em a run for their money with tough D and great goaltending. The story goes that SJU had the ball with 30 seconds left at thier end trying to run the clock, NDSU forced the turnover and SJU came up with a save with 8 seconds remaining.
Can anyone who attended confirm?
I hope this game with earn NDSU and Coach Cameron Pederson some credit. Hopefully the responses will be NDSU has really proved themselves, instead of SJU played down. Should be an interesting UMLL league tourney. Good luck to all. My prediction is NDSU will win first round and leave no doubt with a victory over Johns on Day 2. I'll be the noisy one on the sideline with a raspy voice and lots of green and gold on.

Noisy he will be, i know first hand,
However,
I agree with the sentiments that mike has already stated, I believe that NDSU is not that far off talent wise,
The coaching is there, they have dedicated players and can only get better from here on out,
interesting to see how far they have come, in a short period of time. I love that the parity in Division 2 is starting to become closer and closer.
Give'em everything you got Bison

This weekend
Who would have guessed it? 45 degrees and raining for the conference tourney!
Should be like a scene out of Braveheart.
Good luck to all those competing this weekend.

SJU didnt play a lot of their main starters, lots of plain clothes on the sidelines from people trying to nurse injuries that happened during UST. NDSU was quite a shock for SJU though as a few short years ago they had trouble putting in one goal and we put in something like 22 and a few of those were behind the back goals. Props to NDSU, they have come a LONG way!

The final, according to the UMLL website, was 12-11 in favor of Saint John's.
Two Saint John's starters were out nursing injuries, another player who has started a few games was out as well, and during the game, one starter had to leave. Saint John's has been plagued with injuries, illnesses, and unavoidable losses to the team this year.
That being said: there is no doubt that NDSU played a phenomenal game against a sleepy Saint John's. It was basically back-and-forth throughout the whole game. Like Pinball said, NDSU has come a very long way. Props to NDSU and we hope to get a rematch on Saturday (Day 2 of the tournament).

At 11:13 AM today I rec'd a call from NSC. They informed me that the 1pm games for Friday were cancelled, an it was likely that NSC would be closing their facility for the weekend.
At roughly noon today NSC closed their facility for the weekend.
We are exploring options and will stay in touch with your Leaders.

Does this mean that the tournament is rescheduled? How soon will we know if we are playing this weekend? I understand it is a matter of time, so please just let us know when you know. Thanks!
