UMLL Week 7 Mar 12- Mar 18 Game Discussion/Thoughts/Scores

Postby KevinBice on Tue Mar 18, 2008 8:20 pm

Gophers game vs. SMU has been delayed/ cancelled. The weather dropped about 15 degrees in literally a split second earlier today when we were practicing, and the storms subsequently became a lot nastier. Right now it's about 50 degrees and still drizzling.

We may reschedule the game tomorrow and do a double-header with SMU and Baylor or may have to cancel the SMU game altogether.

Who figured I would ever make it all the way to Waco, TX and still not see the David Koresh house remains? I guess the rest of the team doesn't have such a morbid interest in these things like I do.

We'll keep you guys posted with results.

U of M vs Baylor has been cancelled. The fields in Waco were far too saturated after the storms to play because we would have torn all the grass up. We're heading to Dallas right now (again) to play SMU later tonight. Will keep everyone posted on the result.

I would recommend Balls Hamburgers in Snider Plaza for dinner after beating SMU.

As I remember the Branch Davidian land is just land. They torched the compound, and I don't think they put anything there to remember it.

Also it is not Waco, but instead Wacko, Texas.

SMU 14, UMN 8 (unofficial)

They've been on the bus, playing, or sleeping for the past 20 hours or so. Cut him some slack

Wake-Forest 13, Marquette 7

Pouring down rain in the first half made for a slippery field at Wake. Fun game. Congrats to Wake on the win.
