LMU - 11
USC - 10 OT
The USC Trojans and LMU Lions met today in a WCLL Los Angeles Conference battle that went to overtime to decide the victor. The Trojans drew blood first but LMU battled back to take the lead 2-1 midway through the first. At the end of the first, both teams were tied at 4, but USC shut out the Lions in the second and took a 6-4 lead into halftime. The Trojans outscored LMU again in the third quarter to hold onto a 9-6 lead into the fourth. LMU fought back hard and tied the game at 9 about midway through the fourth. USC took the lead, 10-9 with 2 minutes left in the game. LMU's defense applied pressure on a pass to Dave Miller and the ball went down outside the box. In the fight for the ball, Miller was called for a push and LMU's offense got another chance. The Lions scored with seconds left on the clock to take the game to OT. After the Trojans missed out on a couple offensive opportunities, LMU found an open man on the backside and dumped it in to take the win.
