That is a huge Div 2 weekend. Especially with SJU playing 2 games on the west coast and then playing in Atlanta an hour after their second face off! Especially with the time change.

Best of luck to all Div 2 teams this weekend.

After i graduated this awesome teleporting machine, that lets SJU break the time/space continuum. Actually that is an error, i know that the Cali games are correct though.

UVSC game will be one of the biggest games of the year and a good measuring stick.

Lots of games in Stillwater this weekend. What is that dome like? I heard before that the lighting isn't very good. I haven't been in there for over 5 years, and the lighting wasn't very good back then either (but then again it's easier when you're looking at a soccer ball instead of a lacrosse ball, as I was back then).

Good luck to everyone playing, especially St. Johns and St. Thomas on their long road trips. The UMLL is going to represent from coast to coast! And hey, St. Thomas, do you guys have Monday off or does everyone have to miss classes that day? Just curious how other teams work situations like that.

fixed...MCLA.us has the game posted incorrectly so I apologize. Good luck to St Johns out West and St. Thomas out on the East Coast... Not to mention the rest of the UMLL teams competing this weekend in league play and OOC games.

Should be interesting to see how the division two games turn out.

Good luck to St. Thomas and St. Johns on their travels out east and west.

Plus Division 1 bring home some OOC wins for the UMLL

Just to clarify, St. Thomas will only be playing 3 games this weekend. We have one Friday, one Saturday, and one Monday, with Sunday as an off day. We won't be playing Emory twice.

And Andy, unfortunately for our guys, St. Thomas does not give President's Day off to the students, so guys will be missing classes on both Friday and Monday, which is especially unfortunate, considering that a lot of the classes they will be missing are MWF classes, meaning they will miss two days of those classes. The school and professors are typically extremely understanding about this, though, which is nice. Most of them treat these absences as excused absences, just as they would treat an absence for a member of the football, hockey, or baseball teams.

Thanks Brian, it's interesting to hear how different teams treat these situations. We have our own issues with missing class during the conference tournament, since we usually have to leave Thursday night (almost 6 hour drive to Blaine from Milwaukee). So first thing at the beginning of the semester we have the players bring their teachers signed letters from Coach Ojeda explaining the absense - nothing like planning ahead. Just like you guys, our professors are pretty cool about it, especially when they allow us to reschedule exams because of lacrosse!

And then there are guys like me who don't take classes on Fridays. Unfortunately the real world isn't like that, right? I'll be figuring that out in a few months.

By the way, enjoy Atlanta - we'll be there in a few weeks for G-Tech. If you find any great places to eat, that would be wonderful information to pass on...

I wasn't playing, but heard from most of the guys on the team that it was hard to see the ball. Then again, I've never played in a dome where it wasn't hard to see the ball.

Stillwater's problem is partially the lighting - it is dark during the evening. During the day (if sunny) we didn't have an issue.

The field was very short however - only 10 yds between box and midline...

Good luck to all UMLL teams and to all teams - safe travels.

Rob is correct in that the Stillwater Dome field is EXTREMELY short. We played UMD there last year and it gave us a big advantage since we weren't a very fast team like they were. Having a field this short makes for a lot of transition goals and difficult clearing, so it will be interesting to see who it favors in the games this weekend.

Did I mention it's astroturf too? Bring along a few gallons of hydrogen peroxide and some NewSkin.

How wide is the field now? The last game I did there it was about 80 yards wide rather than the correct 60 yards.

How and why is SJU playing two games in one day?

Even with a large roster.... 4 games in less then 72 hours is a tad excessive, in my opinion.
