VaTech games?

Postby comatose on Wed Feb 16, 2005 9:08 am

I don't think I've seen or heard of a Virginia Tech game yet, are they just starting later than everyone else?

Have they played any scrimmages, are they looking legit?

Wish I could be in two places at once so I could see the action in Atlanta this weekend. Good luck to all the teams and I'm looking forward to reading the recaps!

Virginia Tech plays their first scheduled game (to my knowledge, which comes from the SELC website) on Feb 26th at Tennessee. They play 13 games this season.

VT typically starts a lot later than everyone else, i guess they don't get as much time outside in the beginning of the year.

What a great weekend of games, will SP or anyone be able to update the boards with scores from atlanta this weekend?

FSU better step up and dominate at the ACC shootout otherwise I'll look like a fool for liking them.

goin back to my old days when in elementary through hs when i would travel over and watch the duke and unc teams play.

Laxdawg, you've got 7 hours to Charlotte by bus, add about another 90 minutes. That's a long road trip!

Atlanta to Charlotte is only 240 miles or so. I've made it there in like 3.5 hours when I'm pushing it. (Athens is even closer to Charlotte)

I doubt it will take 7 hours via bus.

Davidson Schedule

Postby Choppy49er on Thu Feb 17, 2005 3:42 am

Is anyone else getting the impression that Davidson might be trying for the Div. A push? Congrats on the So Car win, and then onto Raleigh for NC State... Good luck, but don't forget about us in 'B' this year.

South Florida @ Auburn: by 1

If Auburn doesn't beat South Florida by at least eight or nine goals, then they are in for a hellish season.

Any score from the Davidson-State Game?

Postby Catlax on Thu Feb 17, 2005 8:57 pm

I don't know if it's a 7:00 or 7:30 game, but it should be over soon.

Thanks!

just got back from nc state. we came out strong and went into halftime with the lead 4-3, but they really stepped it up and outscored us 7-2 in the second half. it was a tough game but it was good to play a legitimate division A team.

the +8 nc state prediction is not giving us enough credit in my opinion but thats ok. the game was relatively close until they got a string of fourth quarter goals to pull ahead. they are a solid team and their organization is the best ive seen in a while. looking forward to conference play in a few weeks.
