UCLA Michigan Trip?

UCLA Michigan Trip?

Postby shep on Fri Mar 07, 2008 11:05 am

I saw on UM's website that UCLA had cancelled their game in Ann Arbor on March 28. Are they cancelling their game with MSU as well? Not sure if they were planning any other games on the trip.

Anyone know what's going on with UCLA?

Im just bumping this cause Im curious as well. State no longer has this game on their website. Also removed from laxpower. So the whole trip is apparently off. Anyone know why?

I am sure Buffalowill will know more, but I could probably guess it has a little to do with them being 1-8 and Michigan being number uno en el mundo and state not being a too bad of a squad. I actually think the State vs UCLA could have been good, but it is a long and EXPENSIVE trip for only one game and one guarantee smashing. But I still think the young UCLA team should make the trip just for the experience and it will only make you better in the long run. Playing in the OOOOOOOOOsterban is a fun place.

Wouldn't tickets have already been purchased?

Comes down to money (ie not enough players and dues would have been astronomical)...pure and simple...bummer

I heard something about the trip being predicated on some big $$$ donor coming thru, which didn't end up happening so it was cancelled.

My $0.02....don't schedule games until you know you have the funding.
