Mines - 14
A much improved Mines team should be one to watch in RMLC DII. We were a little short today with our goalie out of town and a first line middie in the pipes, but freshman Sean Nave came away huge with 14 saves in his first collegiate game... especially in goal. We'll look forward to having him in the field from here on out. Mines controlled the ball at will and looked great. We're hoping to bounce back strong next weekend against Nebraska-Omaha and Wyoming.
Also, a great crowd came out on both parts. Thanks to all that attended (including the CU boys).

i was just curious if anyone else has noticed that BYU has allowed 51 goals in their first 4 games. i know that they were against pretty good teams and i am not trying to bash them at all but was just wondering if anyone had any insight on what the deal is because that is very uncharactersitic of a BYU team...... on the other hand their offense is really off to a good start

Despite the high goals against average, their defense is actually very good. They are still learning to play a higher-pressure style of riding and defense, and it is leading to a lot of transition goals on both ends. Their GA average will go down as they get more comfortable in the system.

Looking at the photos on csu's website, am I alone in hating CC's helmets? They look like a horrible combover.
