I think Utah State beat BSU and Albertson.

Other than a little wind and the occasional shower it was a pretty good day for lacrosse.

Another great day for lacrosse in Boise, ID. The weather finally cooperated, and all games today were played in the sun.

U of M pulled out a hard fought 5-2 win over BSU this morning, with both teams playing well defensively but struggling in the offensive end. Thanks to Montana for being class acts in a game that threatened to get ugly but ended up being just good, physical lacrosse... just the way the Griz and Broncos like it.

UVSC dominated a large Idaho roster with a win in the championship game today, I believe 10-1. The score is really misleading, as Ryan has done great things with this young Idaho program. A freshman class of 16 bodes well for the future of lacrosse in Moscow, and the Vandals seem to have a solid keeper who played well despite facing a barrage of shots from a talented Wolverines squad.

I think with the exception of UVSC who played pretty well, the majority of the teams this weekend were definitely a little disappointed with their play, as the fall ball rust took a long time to shake off, and in some cases, never came off at all :(

I think the PNCLL will be definitely see a shake-up this year, with a new group of talented teams emerging east of the mountains. I look forward to seeing seeing rematches between BSU and Montana/Idaho again in the spring, and wish them luck in the rest of their fall ball seasons.

Wou scores for the weekend: in case anyone cares
Against Montana-13-4, loss
BSU-6-5 loss
MSU-12-9 loss
UVSC-10-7 loss(Our best game by far).

We just couldn't put four good quarters together and found ourselves down at half in every game, still outside of the Montana game we played fairly well, and I'm proud of my guys for not quitting throughout. This was the first time we have strapped on the pads this year, so even though we lost all of our games, I'm happy with how we played against some very good competition.
I'm back baby!!!

It sounds like the tourney went great once again. Is there any way someone can compile all the head to head scores for each game? It would be interesteing to see the results of each match-up. Thanks in advance.

I've got photos from Montana's games, plus Idaho vs Albertson. Other than that... I saw a few other cameras roaming around, don't know who they were or who they were with. I'll have the Grizzlies photos up later today.

Guess I'll take this opportunity to suggest that EVERY team in the PNCLL try and find a media person. Someone who can take a few photos and do brief postgame write-ups. Journalism/fine arts/english departments are great places to begin searching. We currently have one of the stronger conferences in the MCLA and we should take advantage of that by really flooding our available news outlets (Collegelax, MCLA Mag, team websites, campus/local newspapers).

Figure out how to write a press release, attach a few photos to it and get it out there. It's an important step, especially for younger/lesser known teams that want the league to know they are legit. Anyway, sorry to hijack the thread. Carry on.

We had two photographers on hand and should have some photos up shortly. The new Vandalax.com will be launched in a few weeks (we hope) and will have a lot of our fall action updated.

Looks like a lot of sportsmanship happening in the beginning of the Montana-UVSC game.
