WCLL ALUMNI TOURAMENT - AUGUST 2008

I am starting to organize and will be putting together what I hope to be a 16 team, 3 day, WCLL Alumni tournament next August in San Diego.

It will be a college rules tournament, with the exception of the clock. I am thinking of having the games on Saturday, Sunday, and the Final Four on Monday. Each university's alumni team will have a roster of 24 players, a designated Captain to organize the team and submit the final roster, and if the team chooses a coach. This roster total might be expanded as I want each team to play 7 games in the first two days, before the Final Four on the last day.

Included with playing the scheduled games in the tournament, each team will play a rivalry game (i.e. Santa Barbara vs. Sonoma, Cal vs. Stanford, Cal Poly vs. Chico, UCSD vs. SDSU, etc.).

That would be awesome. . .

If there is a lot of interest there should be a cut off age for a younger team 30 and under and then an older group.
