Gaffney, SC - Limestone College Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach Mike Cerino has announced that Drew Delaney has been named Assistant Coach. Delaney comes to Limestone from Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Va., where he was an assistant coach from 2004-2007.

“Drew Delaney is an excellent young coach who I look forward to working with this season,” said Cerino. “Our athletes will find his passion for lacrosse and his preparation for the game and practice very motivating.”

While at Washington and Lee, Delaney served as the Generals’ defensive coordinator, man-down coach and face-off coach.

Prior to joining the staff at Washington and Lee, he was an assistant lacrosse coach and assistant dean of students at the Western Reserve Academy in Hudson, Ohio.

Delaney received a Bachelor of Arts in Special Studies from Franklin & Marshall. He was a four-year letterwinner for the Diplomats lacrosse team and led the squad to the NCAA Quarterfinals his senior year.

He has also served as the director for the Rising Star 160 camp and has worked at other elite camps such as the Advantage Lacrosse Camps and Top Star Lacrosse Camps.
