no one cares about the NECLL in a PCLL forum.

Where would you suggest I write about it. The description of the PCLL forum is "A forum for fans of the Pioneer Collegiate Lacrosse League (PCLL) plus general lacrosse activity in New England."

NECLL.com?

I have never been one to hold back an opinion, and I am inspired by Greg Keefs straightforwardness, so I'm gonna come out and say this. We all respect what you did for the conference Gregg, but you are a competitor now...would the NCLL ever post here? Also, traditionally 'General Activity' on the PCLL board has tended to be posts about High School growth, Human Interest storys, or Coaching Changes at the Varsity of MLL level. There doesn't seem to me anything 'general' about posting weekly NECLL matchups. In fact that seems quite specific to me. I think a nice compromise would be if you post about interconference games, i.e. when BC plays UMass, etc.

We don't currently have our own website. Also, we're not competing with the PCLL. We are going at a different mix of teams. I've gone into depth about this before on this board so I'm not going to repeat it now. However, this is where Sonny suggested I posted NECLL-related material so, atleast until we have our own website, this is our best bet to get information about the league out.

As long as we don't have a thousand different threads about the NECLL overrunning the entire PCLL forum, some discussion here is fine.

"We don't currently have our own website.

Then spend less time on the PCLL forum and get going on your own. I just find it insane to talk about a league that you are running that takes teams that used to petition to join the PCLL. This basically takes money away from the PCLL as now these teams will stop trying to get into the PCLL and now may/may not stay with you.

I played in the league for 4 years and coached another two. I took pride in what our league tried to accomplish in this area. Lacrosse was a cult sport that has taken off in recent years. I care where the league goes from here. You want to start a new league and that is fine. I do not think you should be able to use the benefits of the PCLL to gain benefits for your new one.

That would be like Nike advertising on a Reebok website. Pretty dumb analogy? We so is the concept of using this forum to promote your league.

Right now, we chose to concentrate on getting our league running smoothly. Website isn't high on our priority list just yet. However, I spent 8 years with the PCLL and spend a lot of time on this board and don't see any harm in contributing.

This is where you are severely mistaken. The teams in our league that have petitioned to join the PCLL in the past are teams, such as UVM, that do not meet the requirements due to having a varsity team as well. We aren't actively recruiting teams to not join the PCLL. I worked too hard to help grow the PCLL to do that.

Again, I refer to all the work I did for the PCLL for eight years. I put my life into it. I took so much pride in the growth, actually, that I wanted to create opportunities for other teams. I don't use any of the benefits of the PCLL.
