utah beats ucsb 9 -6. it was really cold. great game by the utes to come back with a big win after two close hard losses to good teams.

What's bigger news; Utah over UCSB or CSU thumping Sonoma

I would have to say CSU turning it around. The Utes have a history of doing this sort of thing. Now for the big question. which was the real CSU, getting taken behind the woodshed by the ducks, or giving Noma the beatdown. another big question, what will happen with BYU this week. They have a huge week. Weds against NDNU. NDNU lost 14-13 to NYiT on saturday, but from what I saw, the Bears did a better job of keeping NDNU in it than the argos did. Regardless, NDNU is a very good team. Lots of canadians. almost too many......... Then BYU has Oregon and the cossacks over the weekend. I doubt coach Lamb knew just how ambitious this trip would prove to be when he scheduled it.

CSU always looked to have control of the game vs. Noma, but it wasn't until the 4th quarter that Noma looked to have given up and CSU ran away with a big score. Without the late run I think the game would have had a 4-5 point spread.

i'm interested to see how the polls turn out this week. utah definitely could have won both games in arizona but are a really young team (especially defensively) fell behind early, and lost a couple heartbreakers. the utes were in control most of the game against ucsb. where do you put them? csu baffles me. i saw them in the fall in vegas, and while they are still a good team, they do seem to have lost a step with their defense. i certainly didn't expect the outcome against oregon though. how far do they fall? it pains me to say it, but byu is insanely talented this year and i think should win it all. the ndnu game should tell a lot about the cougs.
