Yardley, PA – Boys High School Varsity, Club and Elite travel teams are invited to register in the Second Annual Lax4Lives Indoor Lacrosse Tournament scheduled to take place Wednesday December 27, 2006 at The Sportsplex in Feasterville, PA.
During the summer of 2005 a Pennsbury High School lacrosse player was diagnosed with Lymphoblastic Lymphoma (a form of adolescent cancer.) Coaches, teammates, friends, family, and area players got together to help raise funds to support this young man and his family and Lax4Lives was formed. Last year thirteen area high school teams competed in an action packed day of indoor lacrosse and the money raised went to help off-set costs for the player’s family. The support of sponsors and the community was incredible.
As we gear up for year two, Lax4Lives looks to help members of the lacrosse community who have recently suffered through hard times as well as support the efforts of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Rally your friends and teammates to come out and play for a great cause!
Teams who register are guaranteed four games in either the High School Varsity or the Elite/Travel team division. Each player will receive a reversible jersey and entry into a lacrosse-themed raffle. All items in the raffle will be donated by members of the lacrosse community. Last year’s raffle included lacrosse equipment, clothing, game tickets and autographed memorabilia.
In conjunction with the tournament, Lax4Lives will also sponsor an online silent auction of some great items.
If you would like more information about registering a team, donating items for the raffle or sponsorship opportunities please visit www.lax4lives.com or contact the tournament directors via email info@lax4lives.com.
