In this instance you are definitely wrong. I know for a fact that a number of the Claremont players and coaches were at the championship rooting for the Toreros, even though there's been a heated rivalry between them for many years. To me, supporting the league team, even if there is a history between the two of you, is a show of true sportsmanship. Being petty is not. Taunting SB during their game definitely falls into the latter category.

Don't know what's worse, having SSU players/parents behaving the way they did or a CU parent (a mom) collecting garbage and carrying it over to the UCSB bleacher area and dumping it in front of us. Did any one else catch that one? Awesome way to represent the "lowlife" lifestyle prevalent today.

Hopefully this will put and end to the discussion. After SB scored the winning goal against Noma in thier game #11 turned to Noma's defense and said that they can all kiss his championship ring. The lack of class shown by #11 is what prompted the heckling, along with an SB player hooting and hollering in a Sonoma coach's face after the win. If SB is not gonna show any respect they aren't going to get any back.

If that indeed is what was said then we should all get our own houses in order. There's no need for gloating over a win any more than there is for taunting a hated rival.

i heard that story today also when my roommate got back from Plano... and from what i hear, the Noma fans didnt so much as heckle the whole team, but rather just #11 Luke Shaw (every time he touched the ball)
