Most of what you've asked has been answered among other questions in an update to the conference tourney webpage: http://www.cclax.org/playoff_information.htm

Ferris 20 - Carnegie Mellon 14....to say that we didn't have a first slide would be an understatement on the defensive side of the ball. Ferris really controlled the GB's in the middle of the field too. Thier #31 had 9 goals. Ferris really suprised us with thier tough play, and staying out of the penalty box.

Dayton 13 - Carnegie Mellon 10....Quality game. Carnegie Mellon dominated faceoffs, both teams got a few quick ones. In the end, Dayton capatilized on a few missed assignments and that was the game. CMU doubled the ball with 3 minutes to go and Dayton put in a late one to win the game by 3.

I have to give props to Calvin College for earning a return trip to the Nationals. After losing 12-4 to Dayton and 14 - 7 to Ferris State in season, the team jelled in all areas through the end of the season and was able to avenge both of these losses in the tourney to punch their own ticket to Plano. I'm sure they surprised both of their opponents with their play in the tournament.
