Remote Santa Barbara?????? If you've ever been to Santa Barbara, you would know that it is one of the nicest places in California to visit. Why wouldn't anyone want to go there? It's right on the coast, beautiful ocean views, great restaurants, a burgeoning wine area, etc.

It is 1 1/2 hours from LA which coincidentally is the same driving time from the SF airport to Sonoma or Moraga where the tournaments were held the last couple of years. Would you call those towns remote? Those distances certainly didn't keep the people away from the games.

Maybe this discussion should be saved for after the games are played

Maybe this discussion should be saved for the people who make the decisions. The Coaches and Board of the WCLL have the say, not some message board yaywho's (I too fall into that category).

My early offer must be amended. I will be in Mexico on the Thursday following the final poll, so I would like the breakfast offer to change to the following Thursday. Canyon Cafe, if UCSD, UCSB or Sonoma fail to make it to Nationals.

Wiggy wiggy.

If they aren't there on Sunday (or Saturday for that matter) and attendance suffers, I doubt it has anything to due with the WCLL seedings.
Good Point. Maybe we'll never know.

Sonny- Just curious. Does the SELC seed based on record in conference, over all record, MDIA poll position, an SELC poll, what?

It is an absolutely gorgeous area, no doubt. That wasn't my point. SB ain't San Diego, Orange Country/LA, or San Francisco/Oakland area. All areas I assume many of the WCLL parents and fans work/live and areas where you would draw more fans for the Final Four.

You missed my point. Santa Barbara is about the same drive time from LA that Sonoma or Moraga is from SF, so it shouldn't make any difference to those people who otherwise would attend.
