Standing and Playoff Picture

Postby Karl Lynch on Mon Mar 27, 2006 2:34 pm

uslmdia.org has the most up to date standing. The faster we get game reports in from the teams, the faster the standings are updated.

The Division A Playoff picture looks like this:

Division A South:

A&M is in.
LSU is out
U of H is out.

TSU, Rice, and Tulane are to be determined.

"The game" is Tulane v. TSU to help sort out the mix.

Division A North:

UT at 4-0 is in.

OSU is out.

Baylor, Tech, SMU and North Texas all have a shot.

It looks like the right 3-2 is needed to get in.

Division B:

TCU and Oklahoma are ineligible.

St. Ed's and Southwestern appear in.

Because you're an A division school playing in the B division, which makes sense as a first year team.

OU

Postby Karl Lynch on Tue Mar 28, 2006 12:07 am

OU is ineligible because it is an A team playing in the B division.

OU is in excellent standing with the LSA.

OU will be eligible for playoffs and post season awards when it moves to Division A.

preparation for the playoffs

Postby mommacoach on Wed Mar 29, 2006 12:33 pm

Southwestern is finalizing arrangments for the playoffs later in April. Knowing that some of the teams who are playoff-bound will most likely commute from their homes to Georgetown, we are wondering who all would be likely to utilize a room block at a local hotel. Please PM me if you feel your team would take advantage of this sort of opportunity for either your players or your parents, who may come to the area as spectators, and roughly how many rooms you would need.

Thanks
