Colorado State holds on for 6-5 win over UCSB

Santa Barbara, CA – In their first spring action of 2006, the #2 ranked Colorado State Rams scored the first three goals of the game against the #3 UC-Santa Barbara Gauchos and held off a furious fourth quarter rally to win 6-5 at UCSB’s Harder Stadium on Thursday night. UCSB had a two-man advantage with :45 seconds left in the game, but a key save by senior goaltender Pete Jokisch and some gritty defensive work by the man-down unit gave the Rams an important season opening victory while handing the Gauchos their first home loss in over three seasons
