FSU v. Mars Hill

FSU v. Mars Hill

Obviously a very convincing win for FSU, but for those of us that don't know much about DII programs, what can you tell me about Mars Hill?

Were the 'Noles expected to win by such a large margin or was this somewhat of a surprise?

Victory was not suprising at all. Maybe the score just a little bit.

I know UT played them back in '02 in the regular season and lost by 3.

As well, in fall ball UT lost by 3 or 4 in '04 (leading by 1 at half).

Mars Hill is decent at best for D2 but typically doesn't have alot of #'s...I think fall ball '04 they had only 17-18 guys.

Yea, but correct me if i'm wrong, but I believe last year they came in and revamped their team and posted wins over VA Tech and (i'm not 100% sure) GA Tech during preseason (i think it was preseason). But then again we all know that preseason doesnt really prove much.

Mars Hill

Mars Hill has traditionally been a terrible program, probably winning about 20% of their games over the last few years. Don't know much about this year's team, but historically, they're awful.

When I was at St. Andrews back in 2001 they were really, really, bad.

A lot can change in 5 years though.
