I want to congratulate the A&M team for running a very smooth high school tournament this weekend. As far as I know, it come off without any problems. I believe there were about 40 teams from around the state. In the finals-
D1 - Plano defeated Plano West 3-2 in double overtime.
D2 - Plano East defeated Southlake 9-1.

bste_lax,
Hmmm ... Now I'm a Plano East alumn, and I gotta say, as much as I LOVE seeing West lose, I gotta give them some respect here. They have made tremendous strides in improving thier program over the last few years, as have the rest of the Plano (and North Dallas) teams for that matter.
... East and West competed in the D2 Championship last year,
and West did beat Plano in the regular season

Both Plano West and Plano East have made huge strides since I played at Plano (2000). We beat Plano East my senior year 23-3 or something like that and Plano West didn't even have a team yet. All three schools will continue to grow as long as the youth programs are in place as well as great coaches at all three high schools. Also have to give some love to Ray Maitland who is basically the godfather of lacrosse in Plano as well as the Braceland family and Bob Reach who carried on the torch.
As for my comment, I just remember seeing that quote on some shirt one year and found it to be funny.
