Centennial (Las Vegas HS)

The Centennial HS team came down to the Texas A&M tournament this weekend and I wanted to see where they rank among teams in their region.

They told me they were pretty young (very obvious with how small most of their players were) and only had two seniors. Also, they said they were 3rd in the state last year.

As I talked with their coach after the game, he said the texas teams had size and speed advantages but skills were about the same. As I reffed their games, I noticed that they wanted to control time on offense but they seemed to get sucked into a run and gun style that was not suited for their young team. Overall, I don't think they played to their potential but it was great to see a team from another part of the country.

If anyone has any info on this team I would appreciate it. I just wanted to see how the texas teams stacked up to other competition.
