I realize it's some time out, but does anyone have any information on the annual fall scheduling meeting in terms of a date and location?

The date of the meeting will be announced in this thread as well as on the LSA website. The team presidents and head coaches will also receive an email announcement on the 2005 LSA Fall Meeting. Once Karl and I get confirmation on the day and time of the meeting, we will then announce it.

My name is Dave Emmel and I am the treasurer of the Tulane men's lax team. I am from Baltimore, but now I go to UT Austin until Tulane re-opens. I plan on driving up to Dallas on Saturday around noon to watch the SMU / Tulane football game later that night, but I think somebody from Tulane should represent our team on Saturday at the LSA meeting. I am 99% sure we will be playing this spring but I was wondering what I should bring to this meeting and what will be discussed. If there is no point in me being there, I won't come- but if you think it would be of some help to have a Tulane representative there, I'd be glad to head up to Georgetown for a bit.

League Meeting & Hurricane Rita

Postby Sonny on Thu Sep 22, 2005 6:44 am

mbuff wrote:Hurricane is now CAT 5 with sustained winds of 176+. Hurricane force winds are extending out 310 miles right now and reports are that once storm makes landfall, it will still be a hurricane as it moves over Austin and it will diminish to a tropical storm by Dallas.

Those attending/organizing the league meeting really need to think about this storm My opinion, for what it's worth, is that it's not prudent to be on the roads or traveling.

Tarzan can attest to the fury that the storm can throw out.

A place to stay...

Postby Sonny on Thu Sep 22, 2005 6:46 am

JW wrote:If there is anyone from the region affected by Hurricaine Rita that needs a place to stay I have a couch and plenty of floor in my apartment here in the DFW metroplex (technically Bedford one of the burbs) for a few guys that may not have a place to stay, be it with family or friends, here in Texas.

I also challenge the rest of the Lacrosse playing nation here in North Texas to open your homes, as much will be needed as seen with Katrina.

Fellas,

I know things are getting a little hectic down there with Rita bearing down on Texas. But there is no need to start multiple different threads on the same exact topic. Please post all the LSA meeting information requests/suggestions/updates in this one single thread.

If you wish to discuss Hurricane Rita by itself, there is an existing thread in the Water Cooler Forum here:

Thank you!
