It sounds as if the Division B Crossover went smoothly. I would be interested to hear feedback from Division B representation on what they thought of WIU's facilities, the organization of the event, or any other observations you had, good or bad.
From my perspective organizing the event, WIU's Sports Recreation Dept. was fantastic to work with with. I would like to thank WIU for hosting the event and I was wondering if you would consider hosting the Crossover again?

Just some quick thoughts, I just got back in and will write more later:
WIU put on a terrific event and the staff was very good. A huge thanks to Josh and the rest of the WIU gang for hosting the event. They made my life extremely easy this weekend
Couple guys that really stood out to me (in no particular order): Shipman (Wheaton), Snow (Creighton), Westlund (RHIT), Kurtz (USD #2), Schreiber (Rolla), Pater (WIU)
Interesting Note, Tomassoni ended regular season with 96 points (69g, 27a)
I pretty much got to see all the teams play, or at least part of their games. I think the most improved team from last year has got to be Rolla, Coach Martin has done an amazing job with them.
Besides the fact that I hate the state of Illinois for no apparant reason, I would suggest holding it there again if WIU would be willing to host. The fields were in terrific condition and actually held up very well despite the rain the whole week before.

i would also like to thank western illinois for hosting the cross over this past weekend.
hosting 1 game can be difficult enough. we appreciate all the hard work that western illinois put in to make the weekend go as smoothly as it did.
harding must not have had to play on field 3. one end of field was a disaster by sunday afternoon. even worse than the harding practice field where we played stephen f. austin back in february. (just kidding corbin, i can't help myself sometimes.) but what can you do about the weather.
my only real complaint about the weekend was the absence of an athletic trainer. we have had a few too many injuries this year really could have used the services of a trainer.
i enjoyed being able to watch some of the other teams play and thought that the referees did an excellent job.
the women's rugby match was bonus entertainment. thanks again to the western team for hosting.

Will,
I was under the impression that WIU provided a trainer and that they were at the event? Having a trainer available was part of the arrangements we made with WIU.

From what I could tell, there was one driving around on a green cart thing. There wasn't an official "table" but there was someone out there the whole day on that green cart.

i believe an assistant coach or team president can fill out the ballot.
as for the Crossover, thanks WIU. USD had a great time. The fields were pretty torn up, but blame that on the weather.
For anyone traveling to Macomb. i don't recommend the Star Motel.
Our president is no longer allowed to make hotel reservations.

hey it was cheap and it got us through the weekend. Who cares if it smelled like urine? It was pretty bad, but we all got through it without hepititis or any other diseases. It wasn't as much of a motel or inn as it was a striking resemblance to a crack house.

There are thousands of hotels in stl to choose from. I would recommend that if you are playing at Lindenwood you look for hotels in St. Charles rather than St. Louis. Sometimes the traffic crossing the river into St. Charles can get pretty ridiculous. (Citys that would be close are St. Peters, O'Fallon, and Maryland Heights...but MH is just on the other side of the river where you will have to cross the bridge.) Good luck.

Just avoid those really cheap or hourly rate hotels listed in E. St Louis

If you wanna save money just party at the East Side's riverboat casinos, strip clubs, and 24 hours bars of OZ and POPS. You won't even need a hotel.
Though an OOZI and a will might be in order.
I can't imagine that helping any team's performance either.
