Vail Shootout Team

Vail Shootout Team

Postby MinesGoallie45 on Tue Apr 12, 2005 12:31 am

I am working with John Robinette to put together a RMLC Div B allstar team for Vail this year. I would really like some help doing this, I am also sending an email out to all of the teams shortly.

If anyone is interested in playing or helping me get this all organized because it is ALOT of work for just one person then please post some messages here or email me.

We are trying to kinda keep this to Juniors, Seniors and Alums...but like if there are super standout players then they are more then welcome, and we are trying to keep costs down as well.......

So any help would be awesome, including sponsership ideas.

instead of making it a come one come all type of team, why doesn't someone pretend like it would be an honor to be selected for the vail team. maybe pick a coach, decide on what players the coach wanted to "invite" to represent the Rmlc, and put together a team that would turn some heads. when you leave it up to any high school senior and 2nd string player who can make the trip, you may be disapointed in your results.
Oh...thats so hot!

Frankly, this has been tried before and it ended up being one of the worst teams at Vail. I should know, I played on the team my sophomore year and it was terrible. Just fair warning. Vail is not for the faint of heart.
Always on point . . .

Its really ment to be an all star team...not a come one come all thing.

I sent out an email to the presidents of all of the RMLC teams and have only heard back from Wyoming. I said in there that we need their top players, and I am going to prepare a list after talking to a few other people in the league of who should be going. If anyone wants to give an input on this list it would really be appriciated.

Because of lack of interest I think I am going to bag trying to put together this team, however if someone else is interested in trying we still have our spot.....but you need to let me know, because if not I need to bail out really soon, and its is really going to piss the people running this tourny off...

Well, there is always the Aspen Tourney in August. I may go to that with Team New Mexico. Good luck with getting a team together.
