LSA 2008 - Year in Review

I feel like the fan's proximity to the field should be a major consideration in choosing a venue. All season long games are played in an intimate setting with fan banter playing a role in the game. Moving the playoffs to a less intimate setting is a remove from what teams are used to all year. In larger stadiums, fans really don't have a chance to be "part of the game" because they are so far from the field of play. Also, larger stadiums make crowds seem smaller. Most of the fans scatter throughout the stands so the appearance is such that no one showed up. Use a smaller venue, and pack them in.
I agree with NYBUILT that we have a great facility here in San Marcos. Our playing surface is grass, but as we and the women's soccer team are the only teams to use the field, it is always in great playing shape(even after/during rain). I feel a venue similar to ours (size, quality surface, smaller stands as opposed to HUGE, etc) would be consistant with the feelings exposed in this thread.
Just my 2 cents.
