Jon Fangboner definitely should have received HM. He played out of his mind this year, esp during the Calvin game.
Curtis Meyer i would argue should be 1st team Defense.
Brett Weinberg didn't have much of a challenge this year and only receives HM, that is fishy. Head to Head Brett beat Calvins FOS during the game.
Congrats to Murle on Coach of the Year, his mind set of the game has really pushed GVSU to the level they are now playing at. 16-1 wouldn't have been possible without him.

Your case for Fangboner would have been improved if he was nominated.Gvlax wrote:Jon Fangboner definitely should have received HM. He played out of his mind this year, esp during the Calvin game.

Actually he was only out for one conference game (Saginaw I believe) non-MCLA Butler and then for the Davenport game. He must have rebounded pretty quickly cause in what I assume was his first weekend back he had four goals and then in the calvin game he had four goals. After watching the calvin game he didnt even look healthy but still played quite well.

All but zero GVSU players nominated received recognition. Deal with it.

Do the same rules apply for Div 1? I saw somebody ask in that thread, but nobody has replied.
Should be a great weekend in Saline (wherever that is)
