Coach McCreery - That is actually a Matt Benson special. I just beat him to it this time.

It's still pretty early in Cali. And knowing Benson, things might ahve gone late last night.

Then it would come to goal differential

Kansas State +7

Ole Miss +19

Iowa +8

Of course, I say this only to aggrevate people.

Why would Ole' Miss be in a three way tie for first, as the Arkansas game is a no contest that would stand them at 3-1, not 4-1.

Well No-Contest counts as a win for playoff standings

so Ole Miss is 4-1 for playoff seedings

Nobody gets a win for a no-contest. It's the same as if the game never existed.

Wouldn't this game then be thrown out by both teams in such a case?? Meaning that both teams would be 3-1?

Well either way if you dont count a goal differential for Ole Miss v Arkansas and count the goal differential for Kstate

Ole Miss's goal differential against the 4 teams is still much higher

i.e. counting or not counting the no-contest doesnt make a difference

How's that?

Now, I'm not sure, so perhaps someone has the bylaws handy? Since this seems to be a bylaws happy crowd. Does a No Contest count as a win for playoff seedings?
