Yes it was UF 7 FSU 8

Great game. Lots of emotion an great plays on both sides. Mostly defensive battle, punctuated by some great transition and unsettled situation goals. Both teams had ample scoring opportunities, but either couldn't find the cage or met with a great save (UF's goalie had some sick saves).

Cory Noonan contributed on the scoreboard, but his presence seemed more felt on riding, clearing, and ground ball situations. It's pretty amazing how well this kid sees the whole field and seems to be very effective at deciding off the ball what he wants to do. Don't get me wrong, he had a couple of sick goals and a nice feed into the middle, but Friday night was a huge team effort. The clearing and riding ability of this team is the best it's been in the six seasons I have seen.

There were a few defensive breakdowns by FSU that allowed uncontested shots, but as a rule, the D was very effective utilizing anticipation and lift checks wherever possible, harassing the UF attack for the better part of the evening.

While there were some great transitions as you would expect from these teams, the majority of the game saw long possessions for both teams, especially for UF in he second half. It was a relatively penalty-free game, with FSU's man down defense being much more effective than UF's. I Don't know the stats, but It seemed that FSU scored on most of their EMO opportunities while stopping UF on most of theirs.

FSU's ride was very solid, forcing several errant long passes, not allowing many uncontested clears.

Both teams could have been much more accurate in shooting, but I think it was a testament to the respect both had for the opposing goalies (both of whom were very solid in the cage) and for what the other team could do with a good outlet pass. It looked like both teams were trying to hit corners or retain possession backing up numerous close shots.

UF had the edge in outside shooting (a couple of their guys really have guns). FSU was more effective inside and utilized bounce shots well to beat a good UF keeper. FSU seemed able to answer as needed and never allowed UF to take the lead.

It was a great game that if I'm not mistaken will be rematched in round on of the playoffs (FSU seeded #3 UF seeded #4?). Wish I were going to Atlanta next weekend!

Coach - That's a no-contest per the NCAA rulebook.

So the Division B looks like:

1) Emory 4-0 (C)
2) Elon 5-0 (N)
3) SCAD 4-0 (S)
4) Coastal 3-1 (S)
5) TWC 3-1 (C)
6) UNCC 3-2 (N)

Correct?

I was wondering how you came to the conclusion of this scenario and how sure you are that this will be the final seeding? I tried my own tiebreak scenario and had quite different results.

Well the whole "?" part at the end makes it a question...since I wasn't sure..and was guessing.

Palm Beach Atlantic seems to have a bright future. They traveled light, with only 4 subs, but they definitely had some bright spots.

Their goalie showed a lot of ability and never seemed to let the number of shots he was having to face affect his play. #10 also has quite a bit of talent, though he did seem to take the score personally, which led to an interesting battle between him and our freshman defender. There were a few moments where I was concerned it would elevate past on an on field battle, but both players managed to limit it to just a few questionable checks.

Almost half their team seems to be in their Sophomore year so they definitely have time to develop their program. I look forward to seeing how they grow in the next few years.
