far from domination - sloppy game on both sides - poorly lined field (our fault) which left the restraining box like 10 feet from the goal so all the slides came too late against the Davidson middies - which was their offense as their attack did pretty much nothing - Elon's going to really have to start working on their offense as it has been stale for the past few weeks - hopefully we can pull things together by app state

Have you guys ever played anyone that actually beat you or are you all living in a constant state of denial?

Whatever helps you sleep at night is okay with me!

Props to Davidson and SCAD for some good performances... I love it when things get close, and interesting. It looks like things could get rather tight in the conference battle...

Elon vs. Davidson

Postby DCLax21 on Sat Mar 12, 2005 10:23 pm

Let me say this as kind as possible. We both played on the same field, both delt with the same refereeing. Elon came out with more jump and scored 2 quick goals, then Davidson fought back to a 7 goal lead before a late Elon surge, it was a hard fought game. We knew that Elon was skilled, that's why we came out strong, and I don't think officials or a different field would have changed that or the outcome of the game at all.

Congrats to SCAD on their win as well

Furman beat WCU pretty bad but the sportsmanship on both sides was very good

Bama Versus Liberty

Postby Bill Kendall on Sun Mar 13, 2005 8:54 pm

Halfway through 2nd quarter. Liberty 9, Bama 1. Game entered weather delay due to thunderstorms. Refs called the game. Refs say it's a no-contest.

We are trying to get a makeup tomorrow since we have roadtripped down here, but not sure what luck we will have. Bama has said they could not play us at UNCC later in the week due to already playing two games. Can't say I blame them.

It's a bummer because after coming out flat against a solid SCAD team that had done their homework, we were juiced to get this game finished.

Mother nature.....aaahhhhh

You have to know Elon to know why they are that way...and I will not go into that discussion here. Suffice to say that they are a great team with a lot of talent and they don't like losing....

That is really too bad about Liberty's game getting called, I know how it feels with Wintrop calling a game on us last minute, one we were hoping to get back into the winning ways after our tough loss to Elon, good luck getting the game made up.

Scad:

You guys had some great transition. You out played us and really took it to us. I wish you the very best. You have a great team and a great Field in the heart of Savannah to play on. Our guys all voted that Scad is the best place to play at in the SELC.

Would like to have that game back with Bama or at least the stat's to count.

All the best,
