Congrats to Evan Pike for getting POW

i also want to bring up another topic though..

there is always a lot of love for division 1 with the riddell/onyx team of the week and the collegelax player of the week but there is never any awards for division 2 teams or players. Now granted...I know division 1 is the main division of the MCLA like division 1 of the NCAA and division 2 is like DII or DIII, but it would be nice to get some acknowledgment for some of the players who put some effort into playing in division 2. We don't need an award like a riddell helmet just some acknowledgment in the mcla community.

just my 2 cents

Then Division 2 fans need to nominate players and teams.

I suggest then that MCLA Division 2 coaches make make nominations for the awards each week as requested. I received very few nominations for these awards last season from Division 2.

The lack of timely information (web sites, rosters, etc.) from most MCLA Division 2 teams is also glaring and hurts the media's efforts to cover/promote teams.

Check the various conference forums. There are conference correspondents for most of the MCLA conferences that are actively soliciting story ideas.

ahh i apologize for jumping the gun before doing the proper research i would assume the coaches would want their teams and players to be recognized by others and did not know they didn't submit the nominations. I thought it was an observation by journalists throughout the country making the picks. Sorry for jumping the gun
