If anybody out there (MCLA or even pre-MCLA) has had experience on an ILF team playing in the World Games, or if you know an MCLA player who has/is/will participate, I'd sure appreciate it if you'd contact me via PM or this thread.

Thanks very much.

I know a guy who played for team Italy, and of course Coach Stevens (Illinois) has one Doug Shanahan on his pay role.

I believe coach Harkins down at FSU helped coach the German national team as well. I'm not sure he checks out the boards very often but I'm sure you can reach them through their website.

Though not directly in the tournament, I participated in the festival tournament (master's division) for the Bayswater Rocks (Australia).

Coach Wilhelmi is referring to John Pastorek (Dayton '07) who played midfield for Italy in London.

Didn't Andrew Martin (also from SFU) play for Team Canada in the 2002 Wolrd Games?

Vinnie Lang, former head coach at Dayton played defense for Germany in the '98 games. He was named captain of the '99 European runner up team and earned Best Defenseman and All-European honors. He captained the 2000 team again in Glasgow and helped coach the Germans to a European championship in Wales in '01. He also coached John Pastorek at Dayton who played for Italy in London.
