I know most of our MCLA teams travel in vans to games across the country due to costs. I wonder how schools like Purdue will deal with these issues.

I would urge teams to strongly consider moving to the use of coach buses. We looked into to it this year and with the cost of gas the difference between renting vans and renting a coach bus was $100/player. For us that amounts to $25 a trip. Well worth it.

Also, as soon as we announced it to the parents they were more than happy to fork over some additional money to help with the cost. If you ask you can get a sponsor (we did) to help lower the cost as well.

In addition to all of that, it gives guys a chance to study, watch movies, etc. but all be together as a team. If you have questions about what Marquette did, feel free to pm and I will give you more information. Well worth the investment in my opinion.

With that said, be careful when you are driving out there. I hope everyone has a safe season this year.
