I should be getting reports from the game today if anyone is interested. Keep checking and I will try to get as many updates as possible posted during the game.

I don't want to talk about it. Should be a great day of lacrosse out there.

Reports are that UCSB is definitely controlling the ball and clearing effectively. CSU having trouble getting any quality possessions. This is a recipe for success for the Gauchos.

That is funny, my wife thinks that I have no wit and am not funny. I will tell her that she is wrong.

Think you could ask Burt to at least put a shirt on?
4-3 CSU
7:06 left in the half. CSU 3 goals in the last minute as the offense seems to get on track in a big way. This is a recipe for success for the Rams. I'm kicking myself for not being there.

Forgot to ask. I'll get it at the next update, which I guess will be at halftime.

Burt? I think you mean Tom Selleck. And the answer is no, he does not like to wear a shirt.
UCSB can win this game only if they can hold CSU to under 10 goals. Looks like they may not be able to if they let CSU go on those infamous runs.

I saw the moustache and the naked shoulderblades and I had to shield my eyes. Aren't they the same guy anyway? You are right about the 10 goal thing. These two teams are such a contrast in styles. I would put them at the Syracuse/Princeton variety of up-tempo vs. deliberate. You can guess who I think is where. Score at halftime:
CSU 5
UCSB 4
CSU goals: Cunningham (2), Stanitz-Harper (2), Adam Schnirel
UCSB goals: Isaksen (2), Shaw (1), Stratton (1)
CSU saves: Jokisch (7)
UCSB saves: Brittain (1)
UCSB winning the groundball game by a sizable margin. Luke Wilson is playing, but not moving really well. Three turnovers by Wilson so far.
Not a lot of whistles. CSU 4 penalties, UCSB 1, no man-up goals by either team.
About 750 - 1000 people in the stands.

Apparently, UCSB answered to make it 4-4 after the CSU run and then had a pass picked off by Schnirel, who took it coast to coast for a goal. Reports are that this game has great atmosphere. Syracuse and Notre Dame just showed up to start warming up on the adjacent field.

CSU 7
UCSB 4
End of third.
Jokisch 10 saves in the third quarter alone. UCSB has had a bunch of chances on the crease, but the junior goaltender is apparently stepping it up. When he gets hot, he is as good as it gets at our level.
