I can't answer your question, but I do know that someone is going to make a smart ass comment that its "All America" not "All American".

Usually announced during the Semi-finals or Finals of the national tournament.

Tim, it's Frasier, not Fraser.

I would have been on this sooner but I had to go to St. Louis yesterday on business.
It is "all-america" not "all-american." Like a city is an "all-america city." One is not an "all-american" or a "hall of famer" or a "Ryder Cupper."
Example:
March 17, 2007, Houston, Texas - Rob Alexander earned honorable mention all-America honors for the third straight night when he finished 12th in the 100-yard freestyle in 45.94 seconds.

Is one who makes "all-conference" thus an "all-conferencer/all-conferencian"?
I will now go back to my day job, tilting at windmills. Mahalo.

The MCLA "All-America" certificates say "All-American" on them. I thought I would just point that out.

Actually, those are the US Lacrosse MDIA certificates. The MCLA has not yet produced our own certificates. We'll take the grammar advice into consideration.

I am going to chime in. If one receives "All-America" honors, they are part of the "All-America" team. However, an individual is referred as an "All-American." The rule appears to be that if a country/continent/city/state ends in "a," then you append an "n" when describing the individual honor. Not saying that it necessarily rolls off the tongue well, but it appears to be commonplace in the English language.

I agree with West Coast let's stop talking about how you say it...it doesn't matter...A person makes the All America team...he is an all american...it says it on the certificate for the USILA/STX All American Certificate for the D1, D2, and D3 guys, that is all that matters...that being said..let's talk about something that is interesting, like who should be on the list that get's announced at the Tournament...
My votes from teams I have seen... in no parcicular order
Attack: All of BYU, Jon Atwood CU, Stefan Turkalu Utah, Tyler Westfall ASU, Eric Nelson ASU, Andres Willams noma, Seth Kweller Poly, Knope Oregon, Julian Coffman Oregon
Midfield: Monteath and Davis from BYU, Caditz CU, Tesar Oregon, Baruch CU, Crawford Arizona, Filmore Arizona, Westfall ASU, Hammitt and Morales Michigan, Warren Oregon, Clayton, Faranelli and Mills Chapman,
Defense: UCSB defense, CU defense, #12 from BYU, all I saw with above average ability
Goal: Pringle Noma, Ethinger CSU (haven't seen him but have heard good things),
Those are some of my thoughts I would like to hear any others...like I said these are just guys I have seen...
what do you think?

I know you said you hadn't seen CSU, but the attack has to include Danny Stevens.

You have to talk about goalie Jake Launert for UMD, our team would be NOWHERE with out him. I my opinion he is the best in the country.
