Live from Provo, UT

With 8:25 to go in the 1st quarter, score is:

BYU - 1
Michigan - 0

Goal by Mark Davis, assisted by Jordan Harris. General sloppy play by both teams.

At the end of the 1st quarter:

BYU - 2
Michigan - 0

Goal by JM Dreher, unassisted. Game is being played at a very slow pace. Michigan is controlling time of possession in the 1st quarter but getting few good shots off. So far a defensive struggle.

Sounds like yesterday...Glad to see Jordan back after taking a shot yesterday and getting knocked out of the game for a while.

At the end of the 1st half:

BYU - 3

Michigan - 2

Lost track of who scored the goals in 2nd quarter, but one of Michigan's goals came from #22 Evan Fox (Suffern) (I think). Intensity picked up dramatically in the 2nd quarter accompanied by some very physical play on both sides. Early in the 2nd quarter, the Michigan goalie was out of the cage and hustled back to save an open net opportunity to keep them to within 1 goal. Michigan scored 2 goals to tie and then BYU scored to make the 3-2 halftime score. From the sound of it, appears to be a raucous crowd at Provo as it was difficult to hear. It sounds like a good one is brewing.

CATLAX...Any word if Walker Bateman is playing? I know he was questionable - if you're making contacts at the game via phone ask if 32 in blue is anywhere to be seen.

I heard a rumor that he may not be playing at all for BYU this year. Stay tuned. . . . .

At the end of the 3rd quarter:

BYU - 5
Michigan - 4

Don't really know who scored the goals for sure, but for Michigan, 1 was by #23 Lehman? and the other from a left-handed midfielder, if that helps. Pace of the play definitely slowed down in the third quarter, despite the goals being scored. Still a hotly contested game in front of approximately 400-500 people.

Bateman is playing and has taken a number of face-offs. He has played well, especially on the defensive side of the ball.
