MCLA Logo

Postby John Paul on Thu Nov 16, 2006 12:37 pm

I am pleased to present the new logo for the MCLA. You will see it incorporated soon at http://www.mcla.us (formerly uslmdia.org), and I'm sure Sonny will be using it where appropriate on this site.

The logo was developed by Jason Smith, a senior midfielder and graphic design major at the Savannah College of Art and Design, a member team of the SELC. We asked SCAD coach Mike Cummings to coordinate the development of the logo, and he put Jason on it. After several concepts and revisions, you can see the final logo below. This logo will represent our organization, and I'm very proud that a current MCLA student-athlete was able to contribute in this way.

I love the new logo! I have to admit that was the first thing I saw and had that same thought. Hopefully won't be an issue since it is not exactly the same swoosh.

Just imagining the new logo embroidered and incorporated into a 2007 championship shirt. :D
