Has anyone used that program? If so, I would appreciate any thoughts about it. Thanks

We didn't use their services but we did use their similar concept of sending out letters to friends and family than if they donated to our program we would send them something for their contribution, different items for different dollar amounts. It made us almost $4000.

I understand MCLA teams at Missouri, Purdue, Eastern Michigan, Minnesota-Duluth, Pepperdine and Loyola Marymount (among others) used MySportsDreams last year.

If you would like more detailed information, please give Jon or Jordan a call at 800-376-5988 or visit:

We used them last year and I thought that it was kind of a waste of money...the system is good, but it's relatively easy to do yourself.

We did it last year.

We did receive funds - it did generate $.

But alot of our parents did not like the concept. And I mean a majority.

So we're not doing it now.

We had the same issues as UMD. And we will also not be using them again this year.

We had signed on to work with MSD over the summer before the 05-06 school year.

I had worked with them and had it all set for that fall when some of our university's faculty caught wind and flipped.

I ended up spending a good deal of my fall semester in meetings with Development, Communications, Student Life, and Business Offices getting railed for signing a contract with this company without their consent (as a club).

I would make sure you don't cross some lines with your school before you agree to anything.

MSD was gracious however. Although we had signed a contract to pay around $1200 (I think) they knocked some of that down because we were not allowed to send the letters.

Hi Scott,

Saw your inquiry about My Sports Dreams. Obviously I am biased based on the fact that I am an owner of the company! On the other hand, I'm not sure the feedback you got from these other teams in the thread was the "whole" picture about us.

While I could easly list over 1,000 ollegiate varsity coaches who be happy to rave about us and the results they got with our program, here are a couple of highly respected lacrosse coaches or managers whose opinion you might value:

Ken Broschart, U. of Arizona
Jeff Hughes, San Diego State
Gene McCabe, Washington & Lee (recently Hamilton College)
Dave Campbell, Connecticut College
Brendan McWilliams, Kenyon College
Tom Leanos, Drew University
Andrew Brausch, Plymouth State U.
Evan Davis, Clark U.
Gene Peluso, RIT
Jake McHerron, Siena C.
John Snyder, Embry Riddle Aeronautical U.
Jeff Long, Ithaca College

Let me know if you need contact info for any of these coaches or if you would like more to speak with.

Couple of highlights worth mentioning about us:

1. We have worked with over 1,500 college teams the last three years;
2. Most teams raise between $5,000 - $10,000, some much more;
3. We let people donate by credit card, not just check (drives average donations much higher) and we add 10% matching money to every credit card donation;
4. Your team spends a grand total of 30 minutes on the effort;
5. You have no up front payment and no financial risk.

While nothing in life or fundraising is perfect, following our directions when you sign up with us will pretty reliably guarantee you a good or great result. 20 players on the Cal Poly Women's Soccer team have raised over $19,000 doing just that. A lacrosse program from Delbarton (NJ) raised over $22,000.

I would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you further, if you have some interest.

Take care,
Jordan Kern

Coach Graff, why didn't the parents like it?

My team used it and we got over $4k. Some of the other guys did not like the way it worked by asking friends for the cash but come on no one likes any kind of fundraising so I thought it was great.
