lax and rescue me

Postby PigPen on Tue Aug 22, 2006 11:07 pm

anyone see Rescue me tonight on FX?-at a wedding/funeral reception Phil Esposito (who plays a fire chief) is talking to Bill Belachik-Bill says to Espo-"do you follow sports", he replies with something to the effect of "soccer-what do you follo?" Belchik says "lacrosse". Pretty funny.

He wasn't lying. I met Belicheck at the NCAA finals weekend in Philly this year. He was staying in our hotel along with the Virginia team, and actually spoke to the team before one of their games.

It would be cool to see Belicheck carrying a lacrosse stick, roaming the sidelines, and realizing and muttering to himself, "Oh, this is the NFL." He would be wearing a college shirt where his daughter attended and played lacrosse, (I forgot the name of the university his daughter attended),and he forgets to wear his Patriots shirt.

I actually played lax against Belichick when I was at UConn. I could tell then that he had Super Bowl football coach written all over him.

And as a result, I'm sure that you placed a legal wager at a NV casino when he coached in his first SB.

I did, but then I went all-in on the UMD Bulldogs winning the MDIA this year - you guys let me down! (And I was able to get 1,000:1 odds to boot!)

Not exactly what you asked for, but it's part of it.

It's hard to see, but here is Bill's team picture at OW. He's at the top right.
